The Combination of Traditional and Modern Architecture in Building Design:

Traditional and modern architecture exist in an ordered relationship of transition through time and space. Tradition represents the past, while modernity is derived from tradition, implying that tradition is the premise and foundation of modern development.

The incorporation of history into contemporary architecture reflects how the architectural style is evolving along with “culture” and “function.”

The elevation embraces the harmony of the facade, giving it a very modern look. The building has a subtle and balanced look with the overall enhancement of more light in the building using grey and white shades.

The use of traditional materials such as exposed brick and stone, combined with more modern elements such as the bottom of the balcony slab being covered in dark wood with a glossy finish, gives the building a traditional appearance.

The house’s primary focus would be the c – boxing projection, cantilevering outwards. wooden verticals and glass railings are also included. This element stands out, capturing the attention of passing people.

Brick cladding with brick blocks on the front facade marks a unique feature of the building.

The polished wooden door adds a traditional touch to the space, while the exposed bricks make the door stand out.

Double Height Living Area:

Due to the double height and skylights, the living area is flooded with natural light. The wooden bay window which is extending from the bedroom steals the show. This window is a great illustration of how spaces can relate to just a little bit of planning and thinking, showcasing the combination of traditional and modern architecture in the design.

The partition wall in the living room adds beauty to the spaces and gives some privacy as well.

Dining Area:

The dining area is situated between the living and kitchen areas to encourage interaction between these spaces. The kitchen cum dining concept adds space to the room and creates a comfortable condition of work in the space.

Blending Traditional and Modern Architecture with Wooden Bay Windows and Contemporary Materials:

The traditional wooden bay window that projects from the bedroom has been beautifully polished to blend in with the surroundings. A ray of light from the skylight shines directly into the bay window’s seating area making the whole space complete.

Here, we’ve used glass and wood as our materials. Which is yet another excellent illustration of how contemporary elements are incorporated into the traditional architecture.

Bedroom Interiors:

The ambiance of the bedroom can be maintained with light shades of color in the room and white curtains, which enhances the beauty of the room.

The bed with a dark brown wooden shade goes well with the surroundings.

Wooden Finish Closet:

This wooden finish closet with a window in the middle provides plenty of light and ventilation. The concept of having a walking wardrobe near the bathroom is becoming popular due to its functionality and people’s comfort. The color scheme complements the surrounding wall colors and tiles.

Puja Area:

The puja room is the main attraction of this home.

The beautifully carved wooden gate looks very elegant and traditional.

In conclusion, the combination of traditional and modern architecture offers a perfect balance between heritage and innovation. By blending timeless design elements with contemporary techniques, this approach creates spaces that are not only functional but also rich in cultural significance. This fusion allows for homes that reflect both the past and the future, providing a harmonious living experience.
