At Design Thoughts, we pride ourselves on our ability to bring a unique blend of architectural styles to our projects. Our expertise spans residential and commercial building design and apartment planning. Our proposed boutique hotel in Mysuru, a notable project, is a fusion of classical and modern elements. Unlike residential units, this unique blend allows us to focus on budget efficiency without sacrificing the grandeur of commercial design.
The hotel features classical-style characteristics such as arches, marble cladding, and niche projections, alongside modern elements like extensive reflective glazing and railing. This article will guide you through the unique commercial building design proposed by Design Thoughts.

Idea for Concept and Development
Our client had a clear vision for this boutique hotel design. They desired classical interiors with a regal touch, and Art Deco features. The interiors, like the exteriors, echo the architectural style. The client’s request for rooms of all sizes was also considered, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to meeting specific design needs. This hotel is in Mysuru, a city with an eclectic history, which is also reflected in the proposed design. Before we jump into the floor-wise understanding, our approach to commercial building design is something we like to brief about.
Let us take a few examples of how the interiors reflect the style of the exteriors, which is a vital aspect, especially for projects like these.

Classic furniture, wall mouldings and a selection of upholstery reflect the overall theme of the building.
Floor-wise Understanding
The clients liked a small reception area on the ground floor and a commercial lift. Each room on the ground, first floor and second floor covers an overall area of 230 sq. ft. This floor-wise understanding provides a comprehensive view of the project, allowing you to visualise the space and its potential.

On the third floor, we located two suite rooms that are 400 sq. ft. in size. The spatial representation here gives an idea about the dimensions of the room. These suite rooms come with a jacuzzi feature in the bathroom.
